The Philanthropic Benchmark Initiative (PBI)

Until recently, Philanthropy in Australia was beholden to no one and answered to few. The Philanthropic Benchmark Initiative (PBI) was co-created by Pollinate and Philanthropy Australia to help philanthropic organizations evaluate and improve their role and performance over time. The PBI is increasingly being adopted as a ‘standard’ in benchmarking for philanthropic organizations.

The PBI is conducted twice a year in March and September and is run as a ‘mutual model’ participation costs for the core category performance evaluation vary from $5,000 to $10,000: the more organisations participating, the lower the cost.
